dc.description.abstract An analysis is given of the relationship between power spectra of image density variations in a schlieren film of a hypersonic wake and the power spectra of gas density variations in the wake. Some results are given for the application of this theory to the schlieren film produced in an R.A.R.D.E. hypervelocity range test. en_US
