dc.description.abstract Six methods for the approximate solution of the three-dimensional laminar boundary layer momentum integral equations are presented and oompared with three known exact solutions. These methods all involve the Pohlhausen technique of specifying velocity profiles in terms of one or two unknowns and substituting these expressions for the profiles into the two momentum integral equations to render them determinate. en_US
