dc.description.abstract The first order solution of the problem of the supersonic flow past a flat elliptic cone set symmetrically to the wind indicates that the pressure over the surface is constant if the body lies within the Mach cone of the apex. This result is incorrect near the leading edges of the cone and an improved solution is derived here by the introduction of line sources near the leading edges. Numerical results are given for three bodies. en_US
