dc.description.abstract Summary A method of calculation proposed earlier depended upon the numerical integration of the heat-transfer equation within fields of velocity and conductivity defined by an approximate solution of the boundary-layer equations. In the present Report, some improvements are made to the original calculations and comparisons with experiment are given. The conclusion is reached that, where there are large streamwise variations in surface temperature, only methods essentially similar to the present one are capable of giving acceptably accurate results. en_US
