dc.description.abstract This report determines optimum distributions of compact edge reinforcement around a circular hole in a flat sheet subjected to uniaxial tension. The optimisation is effected by minimising the stress concentration factor, based on the Mises-Hencky criterion, for given total weights of reinforcement. en_US
