dc.description.abstract This report gives the results of the first series of towing tank tests made at the Royal Aircraft Establishment Towing Tank (up to May 1947) on a powered dynamic model of a six-engine transport flying boat, later named the Princess class, and designed to specification 10/46, on the basis of which full-scale hull construction was started; later tests have been made to further improve the hull step and afterbody and test the effect of modifications to the aerodynamic superstructure and power units. en_US
