dc.description.abstract The development of the method of the measurement of admittances and the solution of the frequency equation for a complex full-scale airframe-engine system is given, dividing the dynamical system at the attachment of the engine to the airframe, and using a force system of equal and opposite bending moments and shearing forces. The values of the resonance frequencies obtained from the graphical solution of the frequency equation and from the resonance test are compared and found to be in good agreement. The method is applicable to the matching of an engine to an airframe by adjusting the flexibility of the mounting units. en_US
