dc.description.abstract A range of struts each consisting of 'Balsolite' filler sandwiched between two faces of one-sixteenth inch thick birch plywood has been tested in order to assess the efficiency of Balsolite as a stabilizer in sandwich structures. It is concluded that this material compares favourably with other low density materials when used as a stabilizer. Modification of the material, namely the use of transverse and longitudinal tubes alternately, does not appear to be beneficial. en_US
