dc.description.abstract This note contaiias an alternative method to that proposed by Multhopp in his subsonic lifting-surface theory for dealing with the spanwise integration of the downwash. The method consists of arranging the series form of the infhmnce function near the inducing section so that the logarithmic term may be integrated, instead of introducing an artificial correction function as Multhopp does. Multhopp's scheme for the solution of the system of linear equations is retained, and there is no increase in the amount of computor work involved. en_US
