dc.description.abstract An improved method of solving the rotor blade flapping equation is described which avoids the laborious computation of those at present available. Successive approximations to the solution are made but the rapid convergence makes the second approximation sufficient for all practical purposes. The effect of inclining the flapping hinge is considered and an analytical solution including these effects is given in an Appendix. The results show good agreement with an exact solution. en_US
