dc.description.abstract The lift distribution on a two-dimensional wing oscillating in accelerated flight is obtained by solving the linearised partial differential equation for the velocity potential in the fluid flow about the wing and applying the linearised Bernoulli equation. Expressions for the total lift and moment are obtained as integrals in,)olving the upwash on the wing. Numerical values for the lift and moment on a heaving wing and on a pitching wing have been obtained when the forward acceleration of the wing is uniform. en_US
