dc.description.abstract A graphical method, based on 'classical' flutter theory, is described which provides a simple test of the effectiveness of mass-balancing in the prevention of flutter at various heights. Illustrative applications are made to flexural-aileron and servo-rudder flutter. It is suggested that diagrams of this type may be a useful aid in design. en_US
