dc.description.abstract A detailed description is given of the development of a computer program for analysing the flow through axial, radial and mixed-flow turbomachines. The theory is based on the through-flow analysis given by Wu 1,2 and the equation for the stream function is solved by a matrix method. The theoretical predictions are compared with experiments reported by Jeffs for a low-speed axial-flow compressor and it is shown that the theory gives a good estimate for the axial velocity profile. en_US
