dc.description There is a need for high speed wind tunnels of modest dimensions and costs in establishments teaching the fundamentals of compressible flow. This paper discussed briefly the layouts and performances of various types of tunnel which might be suitable for colleges and universities. The subject is still in its infancy and this report should not be regarded as more than an attempt at reviewing the present position.
