dc.description.abstract The methods at present available for the estimation of the usual longitudinal and lateral stability derivatives of an airoraft are briefly discussed for each derivative in turn. This is preoeded by an introductory seotion dealing with trends in airoraft geometry and their implications regarding the stability derivatives. To illustrate this further the general discussion of methods is followed by a rather more detailed consideration of the estimation of these derivatives for a slender-wing type airoraft, mainly at low speeds, when incidenoe effects are shown to be important. en_US
