Abstract:
This report describes the design and development of a graphite-heated, continuous running, Mach 20 windtunnel which operates with Reynolds numbers between 6 x 10power4 and 5 x 10power6 per metre. Preliminary calibrations are presented for a contoured and a conical nozzle and for the performance of the centrebody diffuser. An electron beam probe is used to measure test section conditions.
