Abstract:
An analysis is made of the general buckling of a pressurised stiffened cylinder under axial load. Torsional buckling of the complete cylinder, local buckling of the stringers and pure compressive failure of the stringers are also considered, and the design of stiffened pressurised cylinders is discussed, with an example.
