Abstract:
The present report gives a short account of a generalised type of Jankowski aerofoil which avoids the difficulty of extreme thinness near the trailing edge associated with the ordinary Jankowski aerofoils. Calculations have been made for three different aerofoils of this type which might form a suitable basis for an experimental test of the theory. Details are also given of a fourth aerofoil which should have a constant centre of pressure according to Munk's theory of thin aerofoils.
